Well I am stummped.
I have been wanting to make a character for this forum to rp with but I cannot for the life of me figure out what I want to do!

XD uhg I feel your pain. I know that feeling. Sometimes I find it helpful to get the genre I want to RP in down first. Generally, if I know the genre, I can better construct a character.

I usually start with a very general concept of what type of character I would like to play and kinda build from there if that helps any.

Usually I just get inspiration from the play I'm about to do. A character that fits in well and doesn't need much reason as to why she or he would be there, some positive and negative traits that fit the personality I'd imagine the character to have. Then some quirks and notes about the personality and then use the first few turns to get into the character. Btw am I the only one or do other people imagine their characters having a facebook or such and react "in character" do certain things. Like. Character y says "Oh jeez. Character x is such a bitch. I'd strangle her with her own guts if I could." Always gets a chuckle or two from my roleplay partners.  |

It's fun. I know a few webcomic artists who actually made twitter accounts for their characters. And they react IC to stuff other people post them or stuff they find. It's fun |

One of the funnest things I ever did was create a blog for a character of mine.
A few friends would always reply as their characters to my char's post lol I enjoyed it.
