Part I: General InformationName: Killian Vanden, son of King Kain Vanden of the West. Killian means ‘fierceness’ or ‘courage in war or strife’. Date of Birth or Age: Killian was born on a stormy winter’s night during a war between the country of the West and the country of the East waged because of the disagreements having to do with slave trade. The event inspired Killian’s name. Today, he is 26 years old. Primary Motivation: Killian lives to see the prosperity of his people and the reputation of Valdeste restored. Valdeste is notorious for their wars. His father, Kain, while occupying the throne, was infamous for his ruthlessness, hunger for power, and intolerance to races other than humans. Killian would rather see peace come to Valdeste and its allies and diversity come to the Western country. Part II: Character Traits
Outlook: Wishful yet cautious. While Killian does his best to keep an open mind, he was brought up being taught that people are deceitful and jealous. Killian would like to believe that he can trust in others. Upon finding those he can trust, they become dear and protected allies. Integrity: Killian prides himself in being a man of his word. If he feels he cannot keep a promise he will not make it. Killian’s morals have been shaped over time by things he wishes to uphold or things he disagrees with and he holds strong to his ethics as taught by his mother. Affinity: Killian believes in benefit of the doubt and is sympathetic toward others who are deserving of such; however, his emotional connection diminishes significantly after treachery is apparent. While Killian doesn’t necessarily hold grudges, and does his best to be forgiving, it takes effort to win back his respect once it had been lost. Demeanor: Killian displays sincerity when interacting with others; however, initial meetings find Killian quiet and calculative as he wants to understand how the people he is interacting with work, what their morals are, and if they seem trustworthy. He has an air of confidence about him and while he is every bit the royal he seems, Killian manages to be modest. He does not feel himself above anyone else because of his ties to the throne. Habits and Hobbies: Killian tends to be somewhat superstitious as his mother was well versed in things such as palm reading and divination. The Queen also taught Killian how to spot omens, good or bad. Killian has three major hobbies. The first is riding. Killian loves all sorts of animals, but he always kept horses in high regard as his mother taught him they were majestic and intelligent. Killian considers his horse, Zhi, a friend of his. The second is hunting. He respects animals, and respects the act of killing them for food. Killian is always sure to use the animal in full from meat to pelt to minimize waste and death in vain. The last is Astronomy. Killian was taught to read the skies for poor weather coming as the climate in the West is unpredictable. Killian has made it a habit to check the morning sky and night sky for weather and omens. Topics of Conversation: History of the West and divination or omen reading. Killian is proud of the history of his people and will talk very openly about it. He believes in the good of his people and wishes to pass the information to anyone willing to listen. He enjoys explaining means of divination or omen reading because of the connection he had with his mother over it. Group Affiliations: Other than his affiliation with the people of the West, Killian has roots within with Druidic and Shamanistic groups. His grandfather (the Queen’s father) was a well known Druid in Whitoren. Mental and Emotional Disorders: A trauma that he has been left with because of his father’s paranoia is his trusting of people comes slowly. While not debilitating, Killina does have anxieties about those he can trust even within his Kingdom. Part III: BackgroundBirthplace: Killian was born in Castle Vanden within the borders of Valdeste. Valdeste is a modest city built within the western hills. To either side of the city there are vast forests. The city is protected from the harshest and unpredictability of the western weather because of the treelines. Valdeste’s government is influenced by the royal family but each city within the western country has someone elected who is a head of the city-state. Family: Killian’s father’s side of the family has a long history of ruling Valdeste. The Vanden bloodline has been on the throne for hundreds of years and the family has always had a son to receive the crown. Kain Vanden was a well-known warrior before he was king and was in the frontlines of many battles. Kain was always wary of who his friends were and it wasn’t often that he trusted anyone. He was a secretive man and expected that others were just as secretive toward him. Killian’s mother, Gwyn Rhys, came from a family fluent in the magical arts. Her father (Owain Rhys) was a Druid and respected figure head within Whitoren. Gwyn became the Queen of Valdeste after Kain asked for her hand shortly after meeting her. Kain had been traveling the west personally enlisting young men for his army. Gwyn’s brother (Killian’s Uncle), Davyd Rhys, was one of the few men Kain trusts with his life. When Killian was nine years old, Gwyn became pregnant; however, during the pregnancy there were complications and Gwyn passed away along with her unborn child. After Gwyn’s death, Kain became much bitterer believing that the healers in the kingdom should have done more to help Killian’s mother. Davyd taught Killian many things after Gwyn passed away including archery, riding, and hunting. Killian’s uncle remains a constant pillar of strength in the young king’s life. The reputation of the Vanden family was that of strength and even ruthlessness because of Kain and his combative fathers before him. Professions: Killian become proficient in riding and hunting beneath his uncle, Davyd, though he did not apprentice officially for those professions. He apprenticed formally under a master swordsman and the kingdom’s Captain of the Guard for hand to hand combat as well as swordsmanship which Killian has almost fully mastered; however, he believes there is of course room for improvement. Besides those professions, Killian now holds the title of King of the Western Country as his father has fallen in and passed the crown to his only son. Part IV: Past EventsFamily Related Events: A breach in the kingdom was a particularly troublesome time as a former city-state head planned to kill the king when Killian was a young boy. Once the king was killed, the queen was to be murdered next and after her, Killian was to be killed. The head of Tannal, Greir Wahrrin, was found guilty of hiring a number of assassins from the eastern lands while the king was distracted with planning a war against the same land. The plans were found by Davyd and the head of Tannal was put to death for treason. Personal Events: The most notable personal event Killian has been through is becoming the crowned king of the west. He has been ruling over the land for less than a year and hardly thinks himself a king, but still more of a prince. Notable Individuals: Killian’s mother is the most notable individual in his life. Her lessons are what still keep him open minded man and Davyd is the remarkable individual he credits his skill to. Mysteries: Killian’s father has recently fallen ill with a sickness that no healer can diagnose. Kain seems to be suffering a sort of dementia as his sickness ravages him and talks more and more of treachery within the walls of the castle. While Killian knows his father has always had problems trusting those around him, he feels there might be an air of truth to what his father says. Killian is becoming suspicious as to why the king has fallen ill without treatment being at all effective. His mother’s death also seemed sudden and Killian is beginning to wonder if there isn’t a traitor amongst them who wishes to see the Vanden family fall and leave the throne unoccupied. In the event the throne should become abandoned or left emptied, law states that the people of the west will vote amongst the city-state heads to see who will take up the throne. Recently,Kain has been asking Killian to “keep it safe” and Killian isn’t sure what his father means by “it” Davyd insists that “it” is the throne, but Killian isn’t so sure. Existing Conflicts: Conflict has arisen with the suspicion of his father’s illness and heads of city-states believing that Killian is not fit to rule the kingdom despite his knowledge. Killian has been attempting to find full histories of the Vanden bloodline to see what might have people wanting the family out of the way, but so far has been unsuccessful. Possessions: Killian always carries his sword with him. It was forged for him and given as a gift from his father when he turned 18. Also, Killian always wears a necklace with an ivory carving of a bird’s feather as the pendant, it was his mother’s. Duties: Killian upholds his duties as king of the west, handling politics for his country and diplomacy involving other countries. He will do what he can to keep the west free of war unlike his father and grandfathers before him who would readily go to war at the very mention of it.

Name: Julian Summers-Frost Code name: Shatter Lineage: Son of Scott Summers and Emma Frost Team affiliation: None Best class: English literature Powers and abilities: Any physically concussive blast of energy he is struck with, he absorbs. His mother’s diamond-like skin surrounds him upon impact of a blast and it is filtered through the diamond, he can then project the blast back through his diamond skin. The power is his least developed. When he uses the power, the returning blast is expelled from all over his body; unfortunately, he can’t seem to focus the blasts from one area of himself, like his hand. He is completely invulnerable to any sort of telepathic attack, but not telekinetic attack (as that is physical). Professor Xavier and Emma both hypothesize that if Julian was able to stay in his diamond form he would be resistant to the elements as well as not require food or water for extended periods of time; however, at this point in time, Julian’s body only takes on the diamond form when hit with some sort of energy blast. He has displayed slight ability to generate force fields when pushed to his limits as well as induction of mental pain manifesting as physical pain via touch, but this power too is out of Julian’s control at times. His mother suspects that he will soon be able to begin honing a telepathic ability of his own as he is very good at predicting what others will say to a point where he sometimes answers questions that are not posed without even realizing it, but he insists that the incidences are coincidences. It is speculated that Julian could potentially become an omega-level mutant given his lineage. Sexual orientation: Homosexual Distinguishing features: A pale blue star tattoo on his hip, pierced ear, and a small red and black X tattoo just below his collar bone.
Name: Daniel ‘Danny’ LeBeau Code name: Ricochet Lineage: Son of Rogue and Remy Lebeau Team affiliation: Junior member of the X-men Best class: Chemistry and Physics Powers and abilities: ability to absorb energy upon skin to skin contact and focus it inwardly for increased strength, stamina, speed, and dexterity. He can also kinetically charge objects through potential energy, like his father, but unlike his father, if no object is readily available, he can solidify the kinetic energy in-hand and toss a crystallized ball of the pure energy having it explode on impact rather than a found object. The manual energy ball can be quite dangerous as he has little control on the explosion and the crystallized material tends to explode with such impact its shards can be lethal and incredibly damaging. He has been trained in various combat styles thanks to his parents and his improved dexterity makes him an excellent marksman. Sexual orientation: Heterosexual Distinguishing features: completely black eyes with a yellow iris, much like his father’s. Tongue ring.
Name: Sybil ‘Billy’ Howlett Codename: Turbulence Lineage: Daughter of James ‘Logan’ Howlett and Ororo Munroe Team affiliation: Junior member of the X-men Best class: Combat Powers and abilities: Inherited from her father, she received a regenerative healing factor and slightly heightened senses; however, the sense ability is still very much underdeveloped and she doesn’t understand much of it. From her mother, she inherited an attachment to the atmosphere but as of yet, the only thing she has been able to control is wind encompassing her form which enables her to fly, electric current (its strength is based on the current in whatever area she is in), and a heightened control over atmospheric pressure. She can manipulate the pressure around a subject causing shortness of breath, headaches and dizziness, nausea, insomnia, nosebleeds, and in extreme cases loss of consciousness, pulmonary edema as well as cerebral edema both leading potentially to death. Sexual orientation: Bisexual Distinguishing features: Natural silver hair and mocha skin. She also constantly wears a silver choker that resembles a collar that has her father’s military tags etched into the front.

Part I: General InformationName: Valin ‘Val’ North. He was named for a friend of the family who was close to the Norths because of an event that saved Val’s father’s life as well as Val’s. Val later found out from his father that the family friend was a necromancer. Val’s name means ‘mighty warrior/soldier’. Val’s father’s last name was originally ‘Nordenikk’ but, when he immigrated to America, he changed it to ‘North’. Date of Birth or Age: He tells very few people his actual age. He has divulged a number a handful of times to different people but the number is always different. It is known by a few that his birthday is All Saint’s Day, November 1. Primary Motivation: Val lives to see balance maintained within the human world. When darkness and evil tip the scales, he hopes to inform those willing to fight against it of the facts so they might keep equilibrium afloat. Part II: Character TraitsOutlook: Val sees the word as quite black and white. Though he understands there are many grey areas to life, he generally gets his information as of recently from texts and feels that life is easier to deal with in black and white terms. Integrity: Val has strong integral values. If there is a promise to be kept, he will keep it and if there is help to be given he will follow through. Affinity: Val can sympathize and empathize perfectly with anyone he comes across; however, he has a very difficult time showing it. Demeanor: Val seems cold, distant, and somewhat dazed at times. It is difficult for Val to interact with human beings because of his profession and parts of his past. Habits and Hobbies: Val is a smoker and recovering amphetamine addict. He is an avid collector of anything occult, especially tomes and texts. Topics of Conversation: Ancient legend or occultism are the two major topics that Val is incredibly well-versed in. Group Affiliations: While Val doesn’t easily identify with many groups, there are a number of occult groups and magic-users that Val deals extensively with. He is well known within the Magi community and, for the most part, welcomed by them. Mental and Emotional Disorders: Val suffers from an addictive personality. He has had drug problems in the past and recently has found that magic is something he can get a high from with little physically negative effects. Val has an intense social anxiety and prefers to be alone. Part III: BackgroundBirthplace: While Val is a legal American, he was originally born in Iceland and is a duel citizen. He was born in Mosfellsbaer when his parents lived there while his father was doing work with a local group of Mancers. Family: Father: Gunnar North; Mother: Della (Greggor) North (deceased); Sister: Astrid North (deceased). Val never knew his mother and sister, so his father became the major influence in his life and the two are very close. Val’s father, Gunnar, was a prominent Occultist and Archmage, specializing in heavy field magic to protect large groups of people, banish evil beings, and maintain the balance of light and dark on earth. On the night of Val’s birth, his mother and sister were killed during an attack by the group of necromancers his father was working with. The group wanted the dominion of evil to prevail and disagreed with Gunnar’s balance. Professions: Val, like his father, is a prominently known occultist within the magickal community. He is also, by title, a mage, but still refers to himself as an apprentice under his father, though Gunnar insists that Val finished his training years ago. Part IV: Past EventsFamily Related Events: The death of Val’s family was the most significant family event that shaped much of his life. A friend of the family was an unaffiliated necromancer, a man who believed that necromancy was more about communication with the dead rather than raising the dead. He helped the family during the attack from the opposing mancers and managed to save Gunnar and his new born son. Unfortunately, Val’s sister, Astrid was killed as well as Val’s mother. Personal Events: Val became addicted to amphetamines when he was 18 years old. As a child, Val saw a number of things that began to be written off as night terrors and a vivid imagination. Eventually, Val’s father realized his son was even more in tune with various magicks than he was. Val didn’t have a healthy way to separate the energies through every day life and it became overwhelming for Val. He began to see copious violent images manifested by the energies that seemed attached to him and wasn’t comfortable enough with his father’s occupation to accept help in the way his father had suggested. After going through rehab and eventually agreeing to deal with the visions with his father’s help, Val became clean and began his apprenticeship under his father. Existing Conflicts: Recently, Val has attempting to work out his addiction to magic. While it doesn’t have many negative effects, he feels the dependency could cross into a worse state. Val feels that if it comes to that he might begin dabbling in mancy, which ends up with heavy dependency in the same manner as a drug.

This character has been created for the D'reim Kingdom RP posted in Fantasy OOC But Crow can be used for any sort of Fantasy RP if you're interested in him.
Basic fantasy character sheet...
Name: Crow (formerly Luca Damiano, but he has long forgotten his name)
Age: Unknown
Eyes: Grey, clouded due to blindness
Hair: Black with the odd silver hair
Height: 6'3''
Race: Vampire
Power(s):
- Enhanced strength
- Acute senses (save for vision as he lost it from centuries in the darkness of the tomb)
- The ability to manipulate the molecular makeup of his body through magic (i.e. turn himself to shadow or smoke)
- Magical prowess
Weakness(es):
- Prolonged abstinence from feeding upon the blood of the living causes severe weakness
- When the sun is up Crow becomes excessively tired requiring sleep as the vampiric soul is less dominant in the daylight hours
- Unable to enter the threshold of a home in full form unless invited (he can, however, enter homes as a form of shadow or smoke as manipulated by magic)
- Drinking the blood of the dead makes him extremely ill
- It is said that the removal of the vampiric soul will kill Crow, but the only way to do that is through the eyes (the window to the soul) it is believed that Crow may not be able to be killed because he is blind, but it is unsure
Biography: Luca was once a man and while he classifies himself now as a 'vampire' it is not in the most traditional sense of the word. While living, Luca fancied himself a sorcerer. Dabbling in different kinds of magic. Normally, Luca would use magicks only to manipulate things for himself and family for means of living such as crops, money, healing ailments and other things. Though, eventually Luca became curious about darker sorcery to fulfill larger ideas and he began to seek out power.
After isolating himself from many, and alienating his family, Luca found himself alone and filled with regret. Still under tight hold by dark magicks, Luca experimented further. With no people around him, he began to use himself as a subject when animal companions were wearing thin. He often used familiars such as wolves, rats, or crows to aid in rituals, eventually each familiar died from the stresses of the magick; all save one, a crow that Luca began to believe carried with it his strength. Eventually, Luca performed a ceremony to split his soul in two (the human soul and soul of the demon) in order to make himself immortal.
Unfortunately, Luca wasn't aware of the repercussions that came with the ritual and as a result he was left with the need to sustain his second (demonic) soul. He craved the blood of the living and mortal. During the daylight hours, the cravings and darkness that slowly consumed Luca seemed bearable, but during the night, his second soul was dominant and he wrought terror and death on many in his village.
Luca eventually was driven insane as time passed. Those around him perished at his own hand or by the hands of time and he couldn't stand to see the world change around him while he stayed the same. Luca build a mausoleum for himself, hoping that if he buried himself, his vampiric soul would eventually tire and die. Centuries passed and Luca had forgotten his family, and origins. The only thing left for him to remember was the crow who carried his strength. He locked the crow with him in the mausoleum and after its death, Luca assumed its name, having long forgotten his own.
The mausoleum had been broken into by thieves hoping to find great treasure, but found only the almost-corpse of a man wearing old robes and a crow's skull around his neck. Fascinated by the corpse, the thieves began to hunt further around the tomb. Little did they know that Crow's vampiric soul had all but consumed the humanity of the first soul and in devouring the thieves, Crow gained strength enough to finally leave the mausoleum to explore the world anew.

Beau has been posted for the Dratis Institute RP, but he can be played in other settings as long as you ask ^^))
Name: Beau Nicholai Delano Age: 27 Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Bi-sexual Eye colour: Hazel Hair colour: White-blond Hair Length: Past his shoulders Height: 6'2'' Weight: 190lbs Explanation of Origins: Beau was born the middle of three children in a poor family. At a young age the child started to show symptoms for a milieu of disorders that his mother disregarded as ‘phases’. As early as the age of four, Beau showed violent tendencies toward his older brother, attempting to push him down stairs, beat him with various objects even began throwing knives at him when his mother wasn’t looking and he could reach high enough. However his brother was bigger than Beau by 3 years and easily fought back; soon Beau became more interested in animals. They were smaller than him and much easier to coax into a trap in order to torture. Beau’s family had no idea of the atrocities he was committing by murdering the various animals he found until his mother found the corpse of a dog hung from a tree in their back yard. Horrified, she finally took the warning signs seriously and contacted a friend of the family who was a psychologist. Beau was 7 years old when he started therapy with Dr. Menver and it was only 4 weeks after that when Beau’s mother was told that her child was too far gone and should be admitted to a psychiatric ward immediately. Beau was excellent at lying and had been a bed wetter for quite some time and Dr. Menver also noted that two other factors of the MacDonald Triad were present, fire starting and cruelty to animals. Christine Delano was the mother of a seemingly evil child, but no matter how twisted her child got, she was still a mother. She kept her son at home in hopes that starting school would help balance him. He could make friends, learn new things and perhaps smile; he hadn’t smiled since he was a baby. Unfortunately school wasn’t the place for Beau, said his teacher; he was violent with his peers, disrespected his teacher, and had killed the class hamster on the second day. Beau’s mother was overwhelmed. She had just had her third child and she was practically a single mother with her husband on constant business trips. As Beau grew more, he was home schooled by his tired mother. She was an aspiring actress getting parts here and there but never enough to keep up with it. Beau never asked about his father, he was content with his beautiful mother. She was emotionally drained and exhausted and over time Beau had noticed that she had become more and more disconnected from her own family because of her constant exhaustion and somehow as his maladies grew, he felt more connected to her because of this. It was when Beau was ten years old that he reached his limit: his mother was barely home, the eldest was to take care of the baby and Beau could fend for himself in Christine’s eyes, though probably not the best decision on her part from what she knew of her son. Beau had been creating collages to make up a journal. Pictures and words that occupied his mind; stories in the newspaper about brutal rapings, sex offenses, gang violence, homicide, photos from library books of disease, medical tools, corpses and other gruesome things. What was worse, his journals painted all of these things in a positive light. Beau was a ten year old fascinated and captivated by the gruesome and horrific. With his mother gone, and brother pre-occupied, Beau found the perfect opportunity to put his mind on display… he walked into his baby brothers room and smothered the boy. The two year old didn’t survive. Beau’s eyes grew emptier. It was then that a distraught mother admitted her son to the Dratis Institute for Mental Health, she was referred by Dr. Menver, told that all of his tendencies were leading toward horrifically criminal activity and if the doctors at Dratis could treat him, perhaps something could be salvaged of the boy. Beau was diagnosed with extensive psychopathy and as he matured, his disorders were of great number including: Malignant narcissism: A syndrome characterized by a narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), antisocial features, paranoid traits, and ego-syntonic aggression. An absence of conscience, a psychological need for power, and a sense of importance (grandiosity) are often symptomatic. Malignant narcissism is highlighted as a key area when it comes to the study of mass, sexual, and serial murder. Dissocial personality disorder (symptoms including): o Callous unconcern for the feelings of others and lack of the capacity for empathy. o Gross and persistent attitude of irresponsibility and disregard for social norms, rules, and obligations. o Incapacity to maintain enduring relationships. o Very low tolerance to frustration and a low threshold for discharge of aggression, including violence. o Incapacity to experience guilt and to profit from experience, particularly punishment. o Marked proneness to blame others or to offer plausible rationalizations for the behavior bringing the subject into conflict. o Persistent irritability. Cyclothymia: A milder form of bipolar disorder, consisting of recurrent hypomanic and dysthymic (a type of low-grade depression) episodes, but no full manic episodes or full major depressive episodes. On top of heavy delusions, Beau also developed an Oedipus complex toward his mother which is very prominent in some of his psychotic episodes. She is the only thing Beau seems to care about, and yet even that is twisted, horrific and graphically unsound and even still many of his fantasies involve his mother’s death. It was recently found out by Beau that his fantasies weren’t that, but in fact, were truths. He murdered his mother upon escaping by torturing her until he became bored and drowned her in a tub of water and acid. Since being admitted at ten years of age, Beau has been Dratis’s most dangerous occupant. He has escaped once, managing to go on a killing spree for two days until he was apprehended; 24 people were brutally murdered at his hand. Since then he has gone through three psychotherapists, they were killed when they entered his cell; two without permission from Beau, one was lured. Beau has been in the institute for 17 years and he has made no progress. His current therapist, Lisa has been the only one he seems to 'open up' to.

The sun was said to bring the earth to light; however as the sun shone, so were shadows cast in overlooked crevices. So too, the moon shone and lit up the night, chasing shadow away in the dark. Twins were created. One born of the sun; an everlasting shadow. Another born of the moon; a beacon of shining light. D'reim was guardian created by the sun as it cast shadow along the earth. He has dominion over all that is dark despite his bright origin. D'reim's dominion is in the literal sense and symbolically. Prominently, D'reim watches over those who suffer from weighing depression, suicidal thoughts, addiction, deep seeded hatred, fear, psychopathy, and other shadows of the mind. D'reim, while living a cursed existence and less than fulfilling guardianship as others, considers his to have light to it. When those who become so consumed in their own darkness, D'reim takes pride in the fact that he might bring them peace in restoring balance of darkness to light, or allowing calming death to take. *I have information on the twin born of the moon (Vallo) but do not play the twin currently. I wouldn't be opposed to the twin being played alongside D'reim but he is not imperative to storyline. *D'reim is to be played strictly in a fantasy setting. *If interested in a relationship, this character is pansexual.
